ALX Basketball responded to a one-point opening loss by winning three straight games to capture the Potomac Valley Tournament Championship. The team stayed together, trusted one another, and finished the weekend with a convincing 37–21 victory over Team Klutch in the championship game.
In the title game, ALX never trailed, opened on a 7–0 run, and assisted on most of the baskets made. It was a great example of the unselfish, team-first style of basketball that defines the ALX program.
While the championship trophy is the headline, the weekend was really about the entire roster. Every player contributed throughout the tournament, whether by scoring, defending, rebounding, passing, hustling for loose balls, or bringing energy from the bench. Coach Lucky Jones' philosophy is that every player has a role, every player plays, and every player matters. That philosophy was on full display throughout the weekend, with meaningful contributions coming from everyone on the roster during the championship run.
